This appears to be the tail end of a pastry recipe that began on an earlier page — the dough itself and its ingredients are not shown here, only the shaping and baking instructions.

Method

  1. The dough is divided into 8-10 equal pieces.

  2. Each piece is rolled out into a rectangular shape and cut into 8 pieces.

  3. In the middle of each piece, put cheese and egg, and roll up into small rolls (kiflichki).

  4. On top, brush with egg and sesame (or similar).

  5. Arrange them neatly in a baking tray.

  6. Before baking, grate 1/2 [?] margarine over 1 tray's worth.

  7. (From the whole batch of dough, 2 trays can be made.) The rolls should not touch each other so they have room to rise/expand.

  8. They need to be baked for only 20 minutes at 150-170°C (not on very high heat).

A note from Mama:

The note about margarine quantity and the phrase describing spacing of the rolls is partly unclear in the handwriting.
